This QuickTime clip of a double8 film shows the FlashSCAN' ability to cope with damaged sprocket holes. Film transport and registration of each image takes place by means of 12-tooth sprocket drives. In case of a normal projector the claw manages image registration. Thus, damaged sprocket holes result immediately in loss of image registration. The image will start to jump. The FlashSCAN however gets a grip of the film at 12 sproket holes at the same time. Even in case only a few sprocket holes are still intact, the FlashSCAN ensures an almost non-intermittent film transport.

This QuickTime clip of a double8 film shows in what way image adjustment takes place adapted to each particular assignment. Zooming in on the film image is avoided as much as possible in order to ensure maximum registration of the 8mm frame. Therefore, it is possible for details to appear that you have never seen before. gezien.
