| Transfer of your film to external hard disk |
Do you want to edit your films? Do you want to add sound or to make a compilation?
To ensure maximum quality and convenience for the customer the film should be copied to hard disk.
This takes places in DV format (AVI). One hour of film (60 minutes) equals a file size of 13 GB.
The files will be divided into blocks of 1 or 2 GB. In this way, problems that might occur when importing the files to
the video-editing progam will be avoided.
You should make sure that you have sufficient space on your internal HD or, even better, install an additional big-sized disk.
The files can be easily accessed in various video-editing progams and various platforms.
For example, Studio8 for PC and Imovie for the Mac are popular and easy to use programs. Importing of your files/films will be
a piece af cake if you use these programs. After that you are to go to compile and produce your own DVD!
Preparational activities
First, your films will be cleaned and checked for defect splits.
After that, the films are transfered. Transfer by telecine ensures that highest quality possible.
During the transfer ('scanning') the color, exposure, brightness and speed are checked and corrected on a constant basis.
This saves you a considerable amount of time and effort.
The hard disk
SuperSens disposes of several Iomega hard disks of 120 GB (Firewire en USB2.0). This hard disk is able to store some 8 or nine hours of film.
This hard disk can be rented at SuperSens. In the comfort of your own house, you will then be able to copy the data to your Personal Computer.
After that you can return the disk to us. Also, it is possible to buy the hard disk from us.
Please ask for the prices. You may also send us your EXTERNAL hard disk.
