TELECINE: Transfer of film
The corrections:

* Color adjustments
→ color shifts are corrected to the maximum extent possible.
* Exposure correction
→ film that is too dark or too light will be corrected to the maximum extent possible
* Speed correction avoidance of events moving too fast or too slow.

During transfer the color, exposure and speed are constantly and manually corrected and improved. The actual transmission is carried out by telecine projection. This highly sophisticated (and costly) method is characterized by its high quality of focus, smooth brightness and natural-looking colors.

Old Regular 8mm films remain of an impeccable quality, despite the fact these films are as
old as 60 years! Nevertheless, these films may have undergone particular color changes.
We are able the restore these color distortions during the process of transfer.
Also, a reoccuring issue is the speed which was used to shoot the film appears to be incorrect.
The standard speed of these films was 16 images per second.
However, in practice the speed appeared to be a mere 11 or 12 images per second.
The speed can even differ from scene to scene.
By correction of the speed we delete the 'slapstick effect'. Furthermore, this correction enables you to watch a more stable image, which is more natural to the eye.
